Hastings Round Table is made up of a bunch of great guys with a wealth of experience and from a range of backgrounds. Read on to meet the team.

Nicholas Neal

Nicholas Neal

Nick has been a member of the Round Table for 4 years. He has over the years supported various charity work through local initiatives and corporate work, which has help support both local and national charities. He is currently a Store Manager at Tesco and is married with two children.

Roundtable is an amazing organisation to be a part of and the work it does supporting local people and causes is very humbling. Sharing these experiences along the way with the team is another great positive you get from being in Table.

Paul McCleery

Paul has been a member of table for 7 years and was chairman of table 2018-2019. Paul is 46, married with two young children and has been self employed as a Personal Trainer & Life Coach since 2008. Paul is currently the chairman of the Hastings Beer & Music Festival and also volunteers as crew for the Hastings Lifeboat (RNLI).

I was invited to join table back in 2013, table is about like minded individuals and a great social club so I took no hesitation to join. I’ve pretty much always lived in Hastings and so the town and it’s community are important to me through my work and volunteering. So this was a fun way to do some great things like the beer fest and make some great lifelong friends along the way.

James Beeching

James has been a member of Hastings Round Table for 9 years. James has experience in the charity sector and fundraising, both locally and nationally.

James has recently returned to table after taking time out to recover from a life saving double lung transplant.

Table has been a fantastic way of meeting people who share similar interests as me. There's no greater feeling than calling someone and telling them we are donating much needed funds towards their cause. Table fits into my busy life around my kids and health. I can truly say that I have gained some life long friends through joining table and their support through my health complications has been incredible.

Paul Wilson

Paul Wilson

Paul has been a member of Hastings Round Table for 8 years. He has over 20 years experience in the Retail and Leisure sectors. He is currently the Managing Director of JT Embroidery Sussex Ltd, and a proud father of two.

Table is my way of giving back, I love knowing that our hard work and effort directly impacts local good causes. I have made so many friends along the way too.

Peter May

Peter May

Peter has been a member of Hastings Round Table since 2015, joining at the ripe age of 40 he joined in the nick of time. When not tabling or charging around after his two young sons, he runs Hastings premier Decorators’ Merchant (Trade Paints), loves playing squash and either sails or day dreams of sailing.

I joined the Round Table as I liked the idea of giving something back to society. Thankfully this fulfils the remit entirely, with a constant turn around of great causes being helped. I didn’t join to become friends with likeminded, kind and wholesome people, but it seems that’s inevitable! My advise, don’t put it off!

Steve Machin

Steve Machin

Steve is 39 years old and originally from Stoke-on-Trent. He moved to the South coast 12 years ago and settled in Hastings after living in Brighton and Eastbourne for a spell. In Eastbourne he met his wife Sophie and they now have 2 beautiful daughters, India & Autumn. Steve works in the drinks trade as a wine specialist for a local wine merchant and wholesaler.

I've been a member of Hastings 21 for 18 months but have been involved with the organisation for around 5 years as a supplier to Hastings Beer Festival. I have found Round Table to be thoroughly enjoyable and rewarding as well as great fun and a way to make new friends. It's also a great place to network and would highly recommend table for people looking to get involved.

Peter May

Will Starr

Will is 21 years old and has been part of Table for almost 2 years. Will has been involved in supporting a number of charities through work, where he is part of the management team at Tesco. He has recently become engaged to his Fiancée Jodie.

Being introduced to table has been one of my highlights in life. Being able to give back to local communities and charities and seeing the impacts it makes is why I joined.

Peter May

Rob Lee

Rob is originally from Nottingham and moved to Hastings in 2009 and has been a member of table for 2 years. He lives with his partner Shelley and their baby son. After working in people management roles, Rob now works in politics and is the leader of the opposition on Hastings Borough Council. He enjoys travel, music and going to gigs.

Table is a great way to meet new friends and to make a difference to your community, I love it

Nicholas Neal

Ben Neal

Ben has been a member of the Round Table for almost 2 years. He is a Digital Product Manager in London and his current company is focused around supporting good causes all over the UK. He is currently engaged with two children and if he has time he likes to fit in a round of golf.

Since joining the Roundtable last year I've had the opportunity to get involved in helping so many incredible local good causes. I have also enjoyed learning new skills by getting involved in projects I would normally not have the chance to be included in. The Roundtable members all have different experiences/backgrounds and it has been great to get to know them and to create new friendships through our social events over the past year.

Nathaniel Leather

Nathaniel has been a member of the Round Table for almost 2 years. He's been involved in supporting a number of local and national charity across a range of sectors since he was young. He's currently Head of Retention for an online entertainment brand and is married with two children.

Roundtable was just what l was looking for to be able to give even more back to the local community. It's been amazing to be able to help so many local people and fantastic causes. On top of this it's allowed me to meet a fantastic group of guys from all different backgrounds but with the same outlook on life.
